About the course
6pm - 9pm 26th November 2019
Skill level – Beginners/some experience.
During this relaxed and informal evening you will learn new skills to make your very own set of sterling silver stacking rings. The course covers a range of basic silversmithing techniques and is a fantastic introduction to working with silver. Making two rings, you will be experimenting with surface finishes and simple
Skills you will learn
- How to size a ring
- How to saw cut and solder
- Simple granulation techniques
- How to polish your jewellery to create a professional finish
Please note: sensible clothing to be worn including, closed toe shoes, legs must be covered no wide armed sleeves and hair tied back. Aprons will be provided along with safety glasses. If you wear reading glasses please bring them. Any other question on what is suitable please get in touch.
What is included in the price?
We will provide all the equipment and sterling silver you need to make two rings. There is also an option to upgrade your bubble ring (second ring we
will make on the evening) to a gold bobble on a silver band for £5. If you think this is something you would be interested in then please try and let me know prior so I can bring with me enough gold.
